You eat some of the bread. It would have been tasty a few days ago, but now it's stale and a bit off. You figure the other loaves must be the same. You also notice a sink near the cutting-board, and the thought strikes you to drown your sorrows with a refreshing drink of water.
Another thought strikes you: you're alone in a dark room, in a clearly haunted mansion, with your back to the door. And you aren't that thirsty.

You can either:
Ignore the sink and go back to the hallway,
or take a drink from the sink.
